About Glasgow Dog Training Club

Glasgow Dog Training Club has been established for approximately 40 years and is registered under the Scottish Kennel Club to examine the Good Citizens Awards Scheme. The methods of training used are positive re-enforcement in accordance with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Code of Practice.

The Club is non profit making and donates to various “doggie” charities including Greyhound Awareness League, Canine Partners, Canine Concern Scotland Trust, Glasgow Dogs Trust and SSPCA.

We run weekly classes costing £6 per dog including Puppy, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced classes. The Club is run by a Committee of dedicated volunteers. We have fun nights, events and a library. There is a monthly award for the Dog & Handler who has improved the most throughout the month and we also work towards the Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards.

We aim to promote responsible dog ownership and to educate the public how to train and look after their dogs. We offer free advice on buying a puppy or rescue dog.
